Two new pieces have just arrived in my Etsy Shop—meet Silent Radiance and Gentle Currents! 💛
These abstracts are part of a series inspired by childhood memories of growing up on a lake. That sense of quiet water, shifting light, and gentle movement continues to influence my work today. I find so much joy in the spontaneity of watercolor—watching pigments blend, soften, and settle into their own rhythm on the page.
Across each painting, a horizon of light draws the eye, bringing warmth and balance to the composition.
Silent Radiance carries layers of serene greens and cool blues, crossed by that luminous band of gold—evoking the meeting of land, water, and sky in a calm, reflective moment. Gentle Currents flows with a similar palette, its movement feeling a bit more fluid and meandering, as if the water itself is quietly in motion.
While each painting tells its own story, together they create a shared sense of place—different moments within the same calm, unfolding landscape.
If you’re looking to bring a touch of calm and inspiration into your space, you can find Silent Radiance and Gentle Currents in my Etsy Shop. I hope they bring a little light and a sense of wonder into your day!
I shared these paintings with you recently on my blog, and now they’ve officially made their debut in my Etsy Shop — meet Golden Stillness and Quiet Horizons! 💛
These abstracts were inspired by my childhood growing up on a lake, where we swam almost every day. I love the spontaneity of watercolors, letting the pigments move, blend, and find their own rhythm. For a little pop of light, I added a golden band stretching across each painting like a quiet horizon catching the sun, bringing warmth and balance to the composition.
Golden Stillness invites a moment of pause, with deep, grounding blues and dreamy greens drifting above. Quiet Horizons has a brighter, more playful energy, with lively greens in motion and a golden glow that feels like sunlight dancing on water.
Though each painting tells its own story, together they feel like two glimpses of the same serene landscape — a peaceful world hidden inside the paint.
If you’d like to bring a little calm and inspiration into your own space, you can see Golden Stillness and Quiet Horizons in my Etsy Shop. I hope these pieces spark joy and a sense of wonder in your day!
I’m excited to introduce my newest 8×8 abstract painting, “When Color Smiles,” a piece that celebrates the simple joy and energy that colorful abstract art can bring into a space.
From the very first layers, this painting felt bright and expressive. I worked intuitively, allowing vibrant colors to move freely across the canvas, blending softness with bold moments. The result is an original modern abstract painting that feels playful, uplifting, and full of life — like color itself is sharing a happy moment.
One of the things I love most about creating small abstract paintings is how much personality they can hold. Even at 8×8 inches, this piece carries movement and emotion. The layered colors create depth and visual interest, inviting you to pause and explore the details. Every angle reveals something a little different — a gentle transition, a pop of brightness, or a subtle rhythm in the brushwork.
Abstract art speaks in feeling rather than words, and “When Color Smiles” is all about warmth, optimism, and creative freedom. Whether displayed on a shelf, gallery wall, or cozy corner, this colorful abstract painting is meant to bring a lighthearted energy into its surroundings.
Creating this piece reminded me how powerful color can be — not just visually, but emotionally. Sometimes a painting doesn’t need a story or explanation. Sometimes it simply exists to lift the spirit.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a wonderful day!
The past few weeks have brought some seriously cold weather, with back-to-back winter storms rolling through the eastern U.S. My heart went out to everyone up north dealing with freezing temperatures and power outages—and even the South felt the chill! Northern Florida even saw snow, which is pretty wild. Thankfully, things are starting to warm up a little now. 💛
One upside for me was spending more time indoors, which meant extra studio time and the chance to work on this new 24×24 abstract. I wish I could show you the “before” photos (technical hiccups!), but I’m really loving where this piece is right now. There are lots of layers in this one, and I enjoy seeing little hints of those earlier layers quietly peeking through.
I’m still deciding whether to add more lines or shapes. For now, I’m letting it hang out on the easel while I work on other things in the studio. There’s something nice about giving a painting a little space and seeing how it feels over time. And honestly? I kind of love it just the way it is… so this may be where I stop. We’ll see. 😊
I hope this little peek into my studio brightened your day. What have you been creating or enjoying lately? I always love hearing what you’re up to.
Thanks so much for stopping by and spending a moment here with me.
I’ve always been amazed at how a face can tell a whole story without saying a single word. One glance can share a feeling, a mood, or even a little secret. That’s why I love creating faces so much. Whether they turn out whimsical, serious, detailed, or abstract, each one brings its own unique emotion.
This particular piece was a fun practice session in my Strathmore watercolor soft-cover journal. It’s one of my first portraits using acrylic paints and inks. There were parts I really enjoyed and a few things I didn’t love as much—like blending the skin tones. I find that so much easier with watercolor, probably because I’m more used to working with it. But trying something new is all part of the adventure, right?
I still think about some of my very first watercolor portraits… those faces were definitely on the blotchy side! But that’s the beauty of learning—practice really does make a difference.
I’ve been rethinking a few things behind the scenes, so you’ll be seeing some changes coming to my Etsy shop and this site soon. I’m still working out the details, but I’ll keep you updated as everything comes together.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Wishing you a bright, happy week ahead.

These past two weeks have been a whirlwind, but I survived! 🎉
Long story short—my computer crashed, and I was nearly in tears thinking I’d lost all of my work and photos. 😢 Thankfully, everything was recovered, and I now have a brand-new computer—yay! The downside? It came with all-new software, including a different version of Windows and my photo-editing program, so there’s definitely a learning curve. But I’ll get there😅
While my computer was down, I still managed to get some work done from my phone (which was not easy on that tiny screen!). I did, however, manage to list two new pieces in my Etsy shop:
🎨 Moments of Renewal – A 5×5-inch abstract painting that glows with depth and movement. Layers of luminous color and expressive brushwork create a radiant composition that feels alive—evoking both serenity and inspiration.
🎨 Echoes of Joy – A vibrant 4×12-inch modern abstract that bursts with rhythm and harmony. Energetic strokes and shifting layers of color capture a sense of celebration and motion, like joyful echoes reverberating through light and space.
✨ Both of these one-of-a-kind abstracts make a bold statement as wall art or as a shelf accent in your home, office, or creative space. Their vivid hues and dynamic energy invite reflection, spark conversation, and add a touch of contemporary elegance wherever they’re displayed.
I’m excited to share a new addition to my fine art print collection: large-format 11×14 inch prints of three of my most loved pieces — Peacock King, Fancy as a Peacock, and The Pink Flamingo.
If you’ve admired these vibrant works in smaller sizes, you’re going to fall in love all over again. The new 11×14 format brings even more life, color, and detail to each piece — perfect for making a statement in your home, office, or gallery wall.
✨ Why the 11×14 Format?
Art deserves room to shine. This larger print size allows for:
Richer detail: You’ll see every feather, texture, and expressive nuance more clearly.
Bolder impact: These prints stand out — no frame required (though they look stunning framed).
More versatility: At 11×14, these pieces are large enough to stand alone or complement a gallery wall.
🦚 Meet the Collection
🟣 Peacock King Majestic, proud, and unapologetically regal. This piece captures the powerful elegance of the male peacock in all his iridescent glory. The 11×14 print gives his sweeping tail and intense gaze room to truly shine.
💙 Fancy as a Peacock A celebration of flair, fashion, and the bold beauty of being extra. The larger format highlights the shimmering hues and whimsical charm that make this piece a favorite among collectors and daydreamers.
💗 Pink Flamingo Playful, poised, and perfectly pink — this portrait balances grace with personality. The 11×14 edition brings out the softness in the plumage and the quiet strength in her stance, creating a striking visual centerpiece.
🖼️ A Statement for Any Space
Whether you’re decorating a new space or refreshing a favorite nook, these 11×14 prints bring a vibrant pop of color and personality. They also make thoughtful gifts for art lovers, animal enthusiasts, or anyone who appreciates bold design and a bit of whimsy.
Available now in my Etsy Shop. Let your walls strut their stuff!
Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned for more larger prints!
I love to lose myself in my art while I paint. Each brushstroke I add puts a little piece of myself into the artwork — a thought, a feeling, or simply a moment of quiet joy. Over time, those moments come together to form something new and alive. That’s exactly how Drift and Bloom came to be.
This 8×8 inch original painting on wood is a celebration of color, flow, and modern elegance. Layers of turquoise blue, playful pink, soft white, warm brown, and shimmering touches of gold drift together in a soothing, uplifting dance. The natural wood panel adds depth and texture, enhancing the luminous energy that makes this piece feel like it’s gently moving.
Because this painting has such a peaceful yet vibrant spirit, I’m excited to share that Drift and Bloom is now also available as a fine art Giclée print. Each print is professionally produced on premium 310g archival paper, ensuring the colors stay true and radiant for years to come.
Whether you’re drawn to the tactile richness of the original wood painting, or prefer the versatility of a print that brings its joyful calm into any room, Drift and Bloom adds a bright, modern touch to your space.
✨ Both the 8×8 original and Giclée prints are now available in my Flowing Waters Art Shop on Etsy — perfect for collectors, color lovers, or anyone who loves art that radiates harmony and light.
And for those who enjoy my photography as well — I’m in the process of adding new 11×14 inch print sizes to all my photo listings, so you can enjoy larger, statement-worthy versions of your favorite images. Stay tuned for updates as new sizes become available!
Thank you for taking a moment to share in this burst of color and creativity with me — wishing you a bright and joyful day! 😊
Every painting I create holds a little melody of emotion, and “Notes of Grace” is one that sings with color, movement, and harmony. This modern abstract began as an original 5×7 inch painting on wood, where I explored the rhythm between shape and hue—each brushstroke dancing in its own vibrant tempo.
Notes of Grace bursts with turquoise blue, playful pink, cheerful yellow, and deep brown, layered together in joyful balance. The lively shapes and candy-colored palette make it feel almost musical, as if the colors themselves are composing a song of gratitude and light.
Because I loved the way this piece radiates happiness, I decided to make it available as Giclée fine art prints—so more people can experience its bright, uplifting energy in their homes.
✨ About the Prints Each print is professionally created on premium 310g Giclée paper using archival, fade-resistant pigment inks that capture every vivid hue and subtle texture of the original artwork.
Available in multiple sizes—5×7, 8×10, 11×14, 16×20, and 18×24 inches—each print includes a 0.5-inch white border for easy framing.
Whether you’re adding a cheerful accent to your home or searching for the perfect gift for someone who loves color and creativity, Notes of Grace brings a touch of modern charm and a reminder to find beauty in life’s little moments.
If your walls are ready for a pop of joyful color, I’d love for you to explore Notes of Grace in my Flowing Waters Art Shop on Etsy. May it bring brightness, grace, and a smile to your day!
Thanks so much for stopping by—I can’t wait to see where Notes of Grace finds its home!
