Owl Mixed Media Art

Juliette Crane a very talented artist who creates visually stunning whimsical and ever so magical paintings. I love her work!

Juliette is presently offering a free online workshop on her website JulietteCrane.com. So needless to say, I couldn’t resist! It’s a quick owl painting that takes about 30 minutes and is lots of fun. She peaked my interest with some new supplies that I will definitely be getting and exploring with.

Thought my little owl turned out pretty magical, what do you think?

Hope your having a great day and thanks for stopping by!!!

Night Sky Art Journal

On my walks, I’m finding myself studying the clouds more than usual. When I was a kid I used to love using my imagination to see what figures and shapes I would find in the clouds. It was a lot of fun then and still is now πŸ˜‚.

I had some more fun practicing fluffy clouds in my 5.5″ x 8″ Strathmore Watercolor Journal. I used watercolors with a bit of gouache but also added a little acrylic paint to this one. I love how the pinks and purple mixed with the white. Thought it looked pretty cool against the dark background.

Do you like to look up in the sky and find the figures and shapes in the clouds? I think we’re never to old to have fun 😊

I hope you’re enjoying your weekend! Thanks for stopping by!!!

Fluffy Clouds Art Journaling

I’m having a bit of fun learning to paint fluffy clouds with watercolor paints and gouache. This was my first try. It took quite a few layers and I kept switching brushes because I wasn’t happy with the result. I also decided to add a crescent moon and a few stars for more interest. What do you think?

I hope your weekend is off to a good start! Thanks for stopping by!!!
