Anticipating Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning

Photo by cottonbro studio on Pexels.com

As a kid, I enjoyed watching the original Mission: Impossible TV series. It was filled with action and intrigue—the kind of edge-of-your-seat drama that kept you guessing. The original show aired from 1966 to 1973 and set the stage for a legacy of high-stakes espionage storytelling.

Fast forward to today, and the Mission: Impossible film series, starring Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt, has taken that same spirit and cranked it up with globe-trotting stunts, intense plot twists, and jaw-dropping action. Since the first film in 1996, each installment has built on the last—faster, bolder, and more daring than ever.

What truly sets the series apart is Cruise’s commitment to doing many of his own stunts, whether he’s hanging off cliffs, scaling skyscrapers, or free-falling from planes. It’s this mix of physical intensity and smart storytelling that keeps the franchise fresh and fans coming back.

Here’s a look at all the films in the Mission: Impossible series so far:

  1. Mission: Impossible – May 22, 1996
  2. Mission: Impossible 2 – May 24, 2000
  3. Mission: Impossible III – May 5, 2006
  4. Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol – December 16, 2011
  5. Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation – July 31, 2015
  6. Mission: Impossible – Fallout – July 27, 2018
  7. Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One – July 12, 2023
  8. Mission: Impossible – The Final ReckoningComing May 23, 2025

From its roots as a classic TV show to the edge-of-your-seat blockbusters we see today, Mission: Impossible has proven that some missions really are worth accepting—again and again. I’m especially excited for the upcoming installment, The Final Reckoning, which appears to be the last in the series. You can bet I’ll be heading to the theater to see it—stay tuned for a movie review!

Are you a huge fan gearing up to catch it on the big screen tomorrow? Here’s a link to the movie trailer: Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning (Trailer)

Thoughtful Thursday Autumn Essential Oil Blends

Photo by Alice AliNari on Pexels.com

There is something magical about Autumn when she begins to show herself. The long hot days of summer slowly begin to fade and are replaced with long cool nights. Breezes begin to sweep in and the leaves change their colors and fall like brightly colored pieces of confetti.

There are many ways to bring the ever delightful scents of the outdoors into your home to create a blissful and serene ambience. One of my favorite ways is to use a mixture of essential oils in a diffuser and allow the tantalizing autumn scents to drift throughout my home.

The enchanting scents can have a calming affect on your mind which makes them that much better, plus they’re natural too. These are a few fall diffuser blends I found online at HelloGlow.co created by Stephanie Gerber. I highly recommend visiting her site which contains a wealth of information including 25 essential blends for autumn, how to make your own diffuser and what you can expect with the different blends. If you’re new to this idea, start with 1 or 2 recipes and see how you like it.

Have a lovely day and thanks for stopping by!!

Thoughtful Thursday – Welcome the Slumber of Autumn

In just 2 short days, summer will officially end and Autumn will begin. This is such a wonderful time of year with cooler temps, changing scenery and delightful crisp fall breezes. It’s a time to slow our pace, get out the blankets and relax with a cup of hot cocoa in front of the fire place.

With one of the hottest summers on record, this Autumn is a welcome change. We don’t normally see too much color changing this far south in Florida but I can at least dream of the magical hiking trips I’ve taken in the past. The breathtaking views that Mother nature blessed me with on my autumn hikes was to say the least, awe-inspiring.

Being outdoors during this time of year has a way of slowing your thoughts and offering your more clarity in return. It gives you the chance to refocus on your goals and what’s most important to you. We live such fast paced lives and this process of slowing down is literally a breath of fresh air.

🍂I took these photos while hiking the Appalachian Trail. I hope you enjoy them🍁

What do you like most about autumn?

Thoughtful Thursday Orcas spotted in Florida Keys

Photo by Felix Rottmann on Pexels.com

I just heard about this on the news and it took me by complete surprise so I had to share it with you. As most of you know I’m a native Floridian and have spent much of my life in and near the ocean. But I’ve never seen or even heard of Orcas in our waters. But this past weekend, Orcas were been spotted in South Florida.

Florida waters are normally warm and this year the oceans are extremely warm. But Orcas usually prefer cooler waters so it’s surprising to see them here. Typically you’d find them in the Arctic, Pacific Northwest and the Northern Atlantic oceans. Although they do travel in all of the oceans around the globe, including South Florida seeing them this far south is definitely a rarity.

Apparently, last Saturday a group of fisherman were fishing 20 miles off the coast of Key Largo, located in the Upper Keys, when a group of orcas came up to their boat. It’s one thing to see one of these large whales in captivity, but it’s a bit unnerving to have a group of them get this close to you in open waters when your in a boat.

Marine biologists are stumped as to why they came to South Florida. But the group hung around the boat for a few minutes and then went off into the ocean. One of them even had a fish in his mouth. Luckily the fisherman were all fine.

Orcas are family oriented and live in groups or pods of up to 40 members. They can live anywhere from 50-80 years in the wild. An adult male can grow up to 26 feet in length and weigh up to 13,200 pounds. A baby orca, or calf is born weighing around 350 pounds. They’re very smart and are considered to be one of the most intelligent marine mammals.

We may never know why they were here, but I like to see it as a blessing 😊

Hope you enjoyed this post today, thanks for stopping by!!

Thoughtful Thursday – Movie Review

Photo by cottonbro studio on Pexels.com

I hadn’t been to the movies in years so I thought it would be fun to see a summertime movie. It was a toss up between the new Indiana Jones and Mission Impossible. After a bit of thought Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning: Part One seemed like it would be the better choice to see on the big screen, and it definitely was!

The movie starred Tom Cruise along with Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby to name a few. It was an awesome action packed movie that centers around an AI which is self aware. It’s kind of scary to think about really, especially with the big push today in AI technology. The plot keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the 2 hour and 43 minute movie.

Some reviews say this movie isn’t as good as the earlier ones but that’s a matter of opinion. I’ve recently watched quite a few of the earlier Mission: Impossible movies and for me, this one measures up.

I thought they did an excellent job breaking up the intensity of this movie with humor. One of my favorite parts was the car chase scene with the yellow Fiat. I don’t want to tell you too much because I don’t want to spoil it for you, but it I will say it was pretty funny😂

This is a great summertime movie that’s definitely worth seeing in the theater on the “BIG” screen. Here’s a link to the trailer: Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One

Hope you’ll be able to see it! Thanks for stopping by!!
