Sometimes we all need a bit of healing energy. The name Althea is of Latin origin and means healer and this angel fully embodies that energy. I made her for someone in need of healing.
If interested, you can purchase a Premium 8×10 inch Giclee Print of Angel Althea in my Etsy Shop and bring her healing energy into your home or send her to someone in need.

Very excited to share a new item with you available in my Etsy Shop, set of 3 Angel notecards with envelopes. They’re perfect to send warm wishes to someone special. Whether they need well wishes, birthday or uplifting words of encouragement, these notecards are ideal. They’re professionally printed from my original art on heavy cardstock. Each card measures 4.25×5.5 inches and is blank inside for your inspiring sentiments.
Included in this Set 1 of each design: â–ª Angel Valentina â–ª Angel of Tranquility â–ª Angel of Wisdom
I bought these embossed angel images on Etsy from a shop called Scrapaplenty. They’re made in Germany and are quite beautiful. I fell in love with them because they remind me of the vintage images used in cards from long ago.
I created this layout in my Strathmore 5.5″ x 8″ Mixed Media Journal. The background is painted using leftover paints from one of my canvases. As I looked at this color combination, it seemed to be a perfect fit for the angels. I used a stencil to create the clouds and added the quote “Angels descending bring from above, echoes of mercy, whispers of Love.”
I’ve been busy working on my studio space so I haven’t created much art lately but I did finish the last angel in my Strathmore 5.5″ x 8.5″ watercolor journal. Meet Angel Alaia.
I have to say, there’s a certain satisfaction in filling an entire journal with art. I have a total of 44 unique angels in this journal, each with their own personality. Now I need to work on the cover. So stay tuned…
I finished my angel, meet Lalani. I only have 1 more page to go in this journal. Whoohoo!! I’m having fun playing with colors and design. I really like how the sky turned out on this one. What do you think?
Meet Angel Valentina. I love painting angels in my Strathmore 5.5″ x 8.5″ watercolor journal. It’s a nice creative warm up to get the day started. â € What is your favorite way to warm up for a creative day? â € Thanks for stopping by!!
Hope your weekend is off to a great start! We’re in for some really cold weather here in South Florida, it’s dropping down in the 30’s. So it will be the perfect weekend to make some hot chocolate and get Hygge 😊
I wanted to try something new in my watercolor journal with my angel. So I played with new colors and created a slightly different design, I named her Angel Fay.
My newest Star Angel painted on 8″ x 10″ 140lb Watercolor Paper. She’s painted with beautiful hues of blue, pink, purple and yellow. She emits visions of peace and tranquility and is made with lots of love!Â
I joined Jodi Ohl’s Color Lovers Challenge which runs 30 days so I’m posting several days at a time. If you missed my earlier creations, I’ll have links at the bottom of this post. These are my latest creations:
Day 18 – Energy and Movement
I painted a little ballerina in watercolor and added the quote “Dance is an art, paint your dream and follow it!”
Day 19 – Ice Cream
When I was a kid I used to love the fun ice cream flavors like cotton candy, blue raspberry and mint chocolate chip which is still my favorite. So I decided to create an abstract in colors representing all the fun flavors from way back when. I added a fun quote: “You can’t buy happiness but you can buy ice cream. And that’s kind of the same thing.”

Day 20 – Water/Ocean
I painted the ocean with watercolors and then made a sail boat out of paper I previously made. I added a quote by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow: “My soul is full of longing for the secret of the sea, and the the heart of the great ocean sends a thrilling pulse through me.”
Day 21 – Earth
It was only a matter of time before an angel popped up in my challenge. But I like to think we have a greater power watching over us, so for this prompt I painted an angel holding the earth. I added a quote by the Dalai Lama: “It is our collective and individual responsibility… To preserve and tend to the word in which we all live.”
