As I take a moment to reflect today, I want to express my gratitude. This year, I’m especially thankful for you—my wonderful community, friends, and customers. Your support, encouragement, and kindness mean more than words can say.
May your Thanksgiving be filled with love, laughter, and all things delicious. Take time to enjoy the little moments, share smiles, and create memories that last.
From me to you, Happy Thanksgiving—and thank you for being part of my journey! 🍂🦃✨
There’s nothing quite like the feeling of knowing one of my pieces has found its forever home. As an artist, it’s such a heartwarming moment when someone connects with a painting I poured my soul into. I’m so grateful every time a collector chooses to bring a bit of my art into their world—it’s truly the best kind of encouragement to keep creating from the heart.
🌸 “Pretty in Pink” is a vibrant acrylic abstract bursting with texture and color. Layers of pinks, purples, and blues come together in a bouquet of joyful energy. This piece was such a delight to create, and it’s an honor to know it’s now brightening someone’s day in a new home.
🌼 “Blooming Whispers” is a cheerful mixed media piece featuring soft watercolor blooms with a dreamy, abstract touch. Hung by a colorful beaded handle and topped with sparkly yarn, this piece has a whimsical charm that always made me smile. I’m so happy it’s now bringing joy to someone else’s space!
Thank you so much to the collectors who supported my work—you made my week! 🥰
If you’re curious about what’s still available, feel free to visit my Etsy Shop and take a peek. I’ve got more blooming beauties and colorful abstracts waiting to be discovered.
Thanks for visiting, and I hope you have the most amazing weekend!
With Mother’s Day just three days away, I thought it’d be fun to take a quick look at where this heartfelt holiday actually came from. 💐
Believe it or not, Mother’s Day in the U.S. has roots in both ancient traditions and one woman’s heartfelt mission. While cultures around the world have honored motherhood for centuries (think ancient Greek festivals for Rhea, the mother of the gods), the modern version we know today was largely shaped by a woman named Anna Jarvis (pictured below).
After her own mother passed away, Anna wanted to create a national day to honor the sacrifices mothers make for their children. Her efforts paid off—in 1914, President Woodrow Wilson officially declared the second Sunday in May as Mother’s Day in the United States. 🇺🇸
Though Anna Jarvis succeeded in creating a national day to honor mothers, she later felt disheartened by how commercialized it had become. Her original vision was simple and sincere—think handwritten notes, heartfelt words, and quiet acts of love.
As Mother’s Day draws near, whether you’re celebrating a mom, honoring a mother figure, or quietly remembering someone you hold dear—let’s come back to the heart of it all: love, gratitude, and meaningful connection. It doesn’t have to be big or fancy. Sometimes, the smallest gestures say the most.
I’d love to know—how are you planning to honor Mother’s Day this year? 🌸

Enjoy the feast and cherish every moment! Thanks for stopping by!
I am passionate about self improvement and feel there is always room to grow. This is a heartfelt quote I wrote which resonates deeply with me and is displayed on my art journaling page:
“Life is precious and if you’re not careful will pass you by if you don’t stop to smell the roses.”
These words serve as a gentle reminder to slow down and appreciate the beauty of life. Even though there may be days filled with chaos, it’s important to remember special moments, no matter how small and reflect upon them with gratitude.
As we journey through life, let’s cherish each moment and embrace the beauty that surrounds us. May we find solace and inspiration in the simple joys of everyday life.
Hope this inspires you in some way today. Thanks for stopping by!!
Mother’s Day is this Sunday, May 14th. Often we take for granted all the wonderful things that mom’s do for us everyday. Like the pile of clean clothes that magically appear in your dresser or the sweet love note with encouraging words that are hidden in your lunch bag. What about the breakfast or dinner that’s ready to go just when you’re starving, in a rush and don’t have time to make anything for yourself. Let’s not forget all the love and support they give as the biggest fan of our lives!
This Mother’s Day give her a gift that touches her heart. Here are some ideas to get you started:
Spend the day with her doing her favorite things.
Serve her favorite home cooked meal on a beautifully decorated table.
Create a themed meal from a place that she wants to visit.
Bake her favorite sweet treats and serve them up bistro style.
Plan a walk or hike in her favorite park and enjoy the great outdoors.
Go to the nursery with her and get a few flowers to plant in her garden.
Take her on a picnic and spend a quiet afternoon talking.
Go on a nice bike ride and stop for a light bite.
Spend an afternoon at the local museum.
If she has a lot of responsibilities offer to pitch in and give her the day off.
Serve her breakfast in bed or cook a morning brunch.
Watch her favorite movies with her and bring all of her favorite snacks.
Take an art class with her, whether online or in person and create something together.
Make a scrapbook filled with all of your favorite memories and photos of her.
Make her a handmade card or mini book with special photos or memorabilia.
If you’re computer savvy, create a video slide show of your favorites times spent together.
Make her a spa basket with handmade treatments (plenty of recipes can be found online).
Get creative, put a little extra thought into it and give her a special gift from your heart!
Thanks for stopping by!!

With deepest gratitude for all who served in our military and gave their lives protecting our great nation and our freedom and to those who fight for us today. From the bottom of my heart, Thank You 💖 ⠀ Have a safe Memorial Day!

It seems that most of us are in a perpetual state of searching for happiness. If I only had that car, owned that house, had more money I’d be happy. But is this truly what happiness is?
For some, the material world and all it’s contents define their happiness. But happiness looks completely different from one person to the next. For me happiness is the scent of warm bread baking in the oven. It’s hearing the wind gently rustling the leaves on the trees. It’s seeing the sunlight sparkle and dance on the waves in the lake. It’s completely losing myself in my art, painting and letting the outside world with all of it problems simply fade away, at least for a little while.
Don’t get me wrong, you can buy “things” that make you happy, but the happiness is short lived. Although these “things” are nice to have, they don’t make you feel alive. They don’t bring that sense of joy and wonder into your heart and soul, filling every cell in your body with true happiness.
So what is happiness for you? What does it smell, taste or feel like? What makes you smile from ear to ear all day long? Have you found happiness or are you still looking for it? Would love to hear your thoughts….
It’s hard to believe that it’s that time of year again. The weather has gotten a little cooler, thank goodness and the leaves are changing. But this is a time of warm gatherings and welcoming family and friends into our homes with lots of love. It’s a time to reflect back on the year and give thanks for all that we have.
More importantly it’s a time for you. This is the time to slow down and take in the beauty around you. Catch your breath and nestle in for the winter with warm soups and hot cocoa. Take time for yourself this season to recharge your energy. Find happiness in the simple, small everyday moments. Allow your soul to linger in the joy and peace of the season.
I want to extend a sincere heartfelt “Thank You” to all of you for your love and support. It’s greatly appreciated!
Wishing you a Very Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving!
Thanks for stopping by!

My latest angel from my Strathmore 5.5″ x 8.5″ watercolor journal, Angel of Promises. I tried a playing with the wings a bit more. I kind of like how they turned out. What do you think?
